In 2016, video production company Lock3Media traveled across Canada to discover biosphere regions in a two-season film documentary series called Striking Balance, broadcasted on TVO. Each episode explores a biosphere region and highlights some of the local treasures and what makes these places special, from a geological, ecological, historical and cultural point of view. From the footage captured for this series, a video to promote the biosphere regions has been created and will be officially unveiled on May 22 as part of the International Day for Biological Diversity.
