Emily MacDonald, a student working with Dr. Bruce Hatcher at CBU has researched different Biosphere Reserves in Canada, comparing them with our proposal in an attempt to help us with future planning. She looked at what they did in the first few years after their designation – to give us ideas of what we might do. You may download the report HERE.
The activities of the Biosphere Reserve will be overseen by the BLBRA working with other local organizations already focusing on conservation, sustainable development, and capacity building (research, monitoring and education) in their programs.
